Senior Visual Communications Manager
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Product Managers and Senior Management to create successful and cohesive marketing campaigns and product launches. These include print advertising, microsites, flyers, online advertising, landing pages, newsletters, e-blasts, point of purchase merchandising and event support.
- Lead creative direction and manage timelines on large events such as Blizzcon, CES, PAX East and West, Elevate, ISTE with very strict timelines and short turnarounds.
- Oversee all design requests and manage projects through Basecamp. Assign designers weekly to projects and follow up with them on progress to ensure deadlines and goals are met. Workload can reach 150 projects at one time.
- Created SOP and training documentation to better project management and increase production volume.
- Work with design agencies and retail vendors to ensure ASUS brand consistency.
- Provide feedback to ASUS HQ on global product launch and campaign assets. Work closely with them on ways to better our global website performance, e-shop, ticketing and CMS systems.
- Lead the web team that manages our ASUS and ROG site websites for US, CAN and CAFR. Control all aspects including our where to buy integrated software and French translation for our CANFR site. Provide quarterly reporting on site, banner and WTB performance using Google Analytics.
- Conduct all interviews and hiring procedures for new designers/developers as well as training, mentoring and biannual reviews.
- Work with and adhere to strict partner funding and brand guidelines of companies such as Microsoft, Intel, Google, NVIDIA, Best Buy, Costco and Walmart
- Manage budgeting and planning for the Design and Web teams and all resources.
- Oversaw the move of the Fremont office to a new location. Duties included measuring building square footage and drawing up floor plans, working with furniture vendors and contractors for carpet, cubicle installation and paint. Chose all interior design elements within budget constraints including collaborative work spaces, conferences rooms and cubicles.
KNIGHT RIDDER DIGITAL / McCLATCHY INTERACTIVE - San Jose, CA
Graphic Designer
- One of six designers covering 29 markets across the United States. Manage high production flow while working in a fast paced environment with strict adherence to timelines.
- Create Online Rich Media, gif/jpg animation as well as HTML Direct Marketing Advertisements.
- Work closely with Sales Representatives and Trafficking on a regular basis to ensure requests are meeting client expectations, while also following strict Ad Operations design policies, and IAB optimization standards.
- Use 3rd party vender AdInterax to create Rich Media Advertisements. Work with AdInterax representatives to help facilitate special advertising needs.
- Created a resource library for the KRD Design team that enabled designers to reuse flash elements previously created making production more efficient. Doing this took production time down streamlining the process.
